Signs you've spent way too much time watching Homicide, The Shield, and assorted forensic investigation shows:

You're driving at night, and you see a bulldozer that's digging in someone's yard, with big lights so they can see what they're doing at night, and your first thought is "Huh. I bet they're looking for a body."

I absolutely love forensics shows. And if I saw the same thing, I'd totally think that too! I never got much out of Law and Order though.

I think I like Law and Order because it's comfort food: you know what to expect, but it's still well-done.

But Homicide is still much better.

I watch all those cop/forensic/true crime shows... my biggest fear is that those trash bags you see on the side of the road will have a body in them. Just another one of my irrational fears. :)

Josh and I watch C.S.I. and the Shield. Our newest tag-line if someone has said or done something they think is really brilliant, when it's actually merely stating the obvious, is: "Wow! You should be on C.S.I.! Detectives need someone like you to ferret out clues!"

My favorite non-fic crime show is Body of Evidence on Court TV with Profile Dayle (memfault) I bet nobody fucks with Profiler Dayle. Uh, not unless she asks them to. She is a tough trooper.
