alanator called me while I was headed to Criminal Records to pick up some comic books:

alanator: You weren't always this geeky. Not when I met you.
kellinator: Yeah I was.
alanator: You were in the closet about it. You've gotten a lot geekier since you started working at that library.
kellinator: Would you still have dated me if you'd known how geeky I was?
alanator: No.

I was watching the ending of FoTR last night thinking that Legolas was obviously triple-specialized in the longbow and was getting some pretty good to-hit rolls....

You have no idea, I've gotten very annoying very quickly, and will quite happily bore anyone in sight with ad nauseum details on my Arcana Unearthed game. Which game(s) do you play?

I play all sorts, but mainly Call of Cthulu, lately. But I've played Lord of the Rings, d&d,Star Wars, Feng Shui, Sengoku, and others.

I started having problems with watching The Princess Bride after I started larping NERO. Every time Inigo says "Prepare to die!" I want to shout "Slay!"

This page (http://www.larp.com/~chaos/geek.html) has a whole bunck of "You might be a NERO geek if..." on it--most of them apply to other games, as well. ;)

We listen to the LotR soundtracks while gaming pretty often. It's freaking perfect campaign music.

Yes, when I am not identifying slash fodder while watching the movies (and boy did RotK have a lot of them), I am thinking geeky gaming things to myself.
