Be kind to yourself

Yesterday somebody told me to "be kind to yourself." I've been thinking about that and what that means; it's not exactly something they teach you in high school. I thought I'd open the floor for discussion.

I am trying really hard not to be wrong and say, "Buy yourself a really big dildo!"

But would that really be being kind to yourself? Wouldn't that be being hard on yourself?

One thing's for sure: it gives a whole new meaning to the phrase "Supersize it!!"

It does sound like a bit of a euphemism doesn't it?

Hmmmmmm...

I think that being kind to yourself means not pushing yourself further than you should go (sometimes there is a difference between should and can). So an example of being kind to yourself is taking a mental health day every once in awhile just because the weather is beautiful and you need to recharge. Of course, there is a fine line between being kind to yourself and slipping into total and utter slackerdom...

So, Miss. Thing, how about answering your own poll?

That's what I'm trying to figure out...
