Oh, fucking terrific.
My mom called me this morning to:
1). bug me about have I bought some stupid book my dad wants on Amazon;
2). announce that they're planning on coming to see me in three weeks (all together now: OH SHIT);
3). inform me that I accidentally hit some button on my phone this weekend and she got to hear me explaining to a third party that I have no self-esteem because of my parents.
I really don't want my parents to come visit.

Oh crappy hell. And she just sat there and didn't say anything? She just listened in on your conversation? Argh. Ah, well, she is a mom. Good luck. Stock up on Valium.

1. Why are they coming to visit?
2. Do you HAVE to let them stay with you?
3. Did you tell her it is rude to eavesdrop?
4. MASSIVE HUGS
Re:
2). if I tell 'em to get a hotel, they'll probably start yelling about don't I realize my dad is unemployed (never mind that they just built a new deck and are replacing all the dining room windows with the plate-glass ones my dad wants. IMNSHO, they are fiscally fucking irresponsible)
3). no, because I was too busy trying to figure out which conversation she overheard
4). thanks, I needed that. **hugs**

I don't understand where parents get this ability to make us feel like that! :P

H.O.T.E.L., or no visit. You can do it.
