I don't know. I expect people to do so. When they don't, I point this out to them. It seems that people who don't mean what they say tend not to get into conversations with me since I tend to hold them to their word...

I really do try to do this as well. There've been times when it was certainly problematic when I found out something that I said involved way more than I thought. Oops. But it's important to stick to it.

How can I ask others to say what they mean and mean what they say if I don't do it myself.

I don't know you well enough to tell if that is what you do but very idea of asking such a question wouldn't occur to someone who didn't do it already.

its because they aren't as cool as the kellinator
