hee hee hee, Thompson's out

Fred Thompson ends presidential bid

Now he won't be President AND he's off Law and Order. It's like the best of both worlds!

Its been a while since I've tuned into L&O but I'm glad the country has been liberated from Thompson.

He'll be back in guest spots as:

1) A defense lawyer
2) A US Attorney
3) The NY Attorney General
4) The governor
E) All of the above

Seriously. Other than George Dzunda and Jill Hennessy, when was the last time someone left the Dick Wolf universe and stayed gone?

Skipping the obvious Annie Parisse... Angie Harmon, Benjamin Bratt, and Elisabeth Rohm... And I hope that the last one NEVER comes back.

Oh, I can't WAIT to hear Sean Hannity trying to explain his way out of this one. He's had Thompson on his show several times.

(Why do I listen to Hannity at all? Opposition research. Know your enemy. I can never manage to listen to him for more than five minutes before he has me so pissed off that I'm screaming obscenities, though).

cheers,
Phil

Ain't it though! I was all kinds of happy when I heard.

I could envision his ending up as the eventual Republican nominee's VP candidate, or are the pundits saying that won't happen?

He was never really IN the race.
