random shit
- Dr. Phil is Springer for people who think they're too good for Springer.
- I relax, confident in the knowledge that I do not think myself too good for total trash entertainment.
- That's why I watch Flavor of Love.
- I am completely addicted to The Shield because it's like the one show on TV where I can't guess what's going to happen next.
- Recent plotlines on The Shield and Without a Trace seem to suggest that the only meaty plotline available to middle-aged African-American actresses is Serious Life-Threatening Illness. This pisses me off.
- However, it may have something to do with the fact that Claudette and Viv have more sense than the rest of their respective casts put together and as such plotlines about police corruption and Murky Gray Moral Issues are not really available to them.
- I haven't updated in so long I was not aware of all the cool new options in rich-text format.
- It kinda makes me wish I still updated with meaningless crap twelve times a day.

I thought Sunday night was the finale but when I tuned in it was sort of like a wrap up "behind the scenes" episode. Like on the Bachelor when they have "The Women Tell All." Did I miss the finale??

We must discuss this. I thought Goldie was the bomb! I also thought she was way too good for Flav. I missed the one where she left, but hopefully they'll rerun it a million times like they do everything else. OMG I AM SO EMBARRASSED TO BE POSTING THIS PUBLICALLY.

The entire Claudette thing has me in a quandry. It makes for great drama, but must she pay that kind of price?
I wish you would update more often...Shield-lovers must stay together.
Have you ever caught "Epitafios" (Epitaphs) on HBO signature? Next time they rerun it I'll send you a note. It's very Shield like but set in Argentina. I know for sure that you'd enjoy it.

In a lot of ways I think the partnership of Claudette and Dutch is the backbone of the show... they fight and get mad at each other, but at the end of the day they'll have each other's backs, and it's a great counterpoint to all the double-crossing. I was HYSTERICAL when I thought she was dead.
I don't get HBO, but thanks for the recommendation =)

I totally agree with the Claudette/Dutch relationship. Dutch is one freaky dude and Claudette keeps him in check. I love their relationship.
If HBO ever releases Epitaphs on DVD, I'll copy it and forward it to you. It's got to be the best serialized drama that HBO has ever aired, but it's in Spanish with subtitles so that scares some people off. Knowing how you love great acting (Homicide:LOTS and The Shield) I know you'd love this.
Are you psyched about seeing Andre Braugher on TV again? The show looks like it rocks.
I don't know if you watch "Rescue Me" but that's another one that I make room in my schedule for. That's where all the good drama is, on cable.
