the rare NFL snark

I don't even really give a damn about football, but am I the only one who's starting to hope the Colts will run the table just so those egomaniacs from the '72 Dolphins will have to shut the hell up?

Honestly - I find the situation interesting for only one reason. There's a raging debate about whether they should continue to play thier starters, or give them a break until play offs to keep everyone healthy, since they've already clinched home field advantage. Personally, I think they should keep playing them, not to attempt the record (hey, it's just another record, who cares) but because not playing them is going to create problems in the long run - they have a system working, they're fit, they're doing well, leave them be. Taking them out now, is just asking for disaster in the playoffs.

Speaking from Egomaniac Central, I'd say that whatever pride we're feeling about our team has been summarily stuffed with the advent of the last two years. This cycle has *turned*. :)

I want the Colts to lose a game - preferably in the playoffs just to shock everyone. There's too much parity and their schedule was too easy. Egomaniacs or not, I think it was a tougher road for the Dolphins of then than the Colts of now. Just one guy's opinion.

I was hoping they'd make it as well...the 72 Dolphins all need to shut the hell up...we're tired of hearing about it.
