tick tick tick tick BOOM

Tonight's the night.

Most of you have heard me describe the Tick Tick Game, which is what Michael and I play while watching SVU. The object of the game is to loudly tick anytime the show hits us over the head with Stabler's increasing instability.

Based on the previews, we think tonight's the night that ticking time bomb goes BOOM.

We've been debating who he's going to punch out. Me, I'm putting my money on Cragen.

Give me 'a suspect' in the betting pool.

[identity profile] phinnia.livejournal.com 2005-05-10 11:49 pm (UTC)(link)
I could see him punching out Munch because Munch tends to rant a lot, but then that would require them to actually work Munch into a script. There's a perverse part of me that wants to see him punch Saint Olivia out, but then we all know that's never going to happen.
We've started playing the Tick Tick Game ourselves. :-D

Of course yall realize, that all these tv show things ...I'll just never get. Not working the hours I do. It just won't happen. Ok. Yea. I could pvr TV shows. But I'm trying to keep the list short. Of course, JAG is gone now. I could add one. But maybe all of my F1 stuff is enough TV...

[identity profile] bouncepogo.livejournal.com 2005-05-10 11:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Ooh someone else who watches JAG. Were you as mad at the finale ending as I was???

[identity profile] cotharyus.livejournal.com 2005-05-11 12:09 am (UTC)(link)
I don't know if mad was the term I'd use. It was the sort of thing I'd come to expect. Of course, in the back of my mind, I know that Harm lost the coin toss, because if he went to CA with Mac, he could take his recovering nearly paralized ward with him - not nearly so much trouble as trying to move said ward to england. Anyhow...I can't really fault what they ended up doing with the show. I liked it, I'm sorry it's gone, but these things have to happen. Now I just have to find something else that suites me to watch on TV besides F1 - racing drives my wife crazy;)

[identity profile] bouncepogo.livejournal.com 2005-05-11 12:11 am (UTC)(link)
I knew they'd end up together but to end it like that - BAH! I wanted to see a WEDDING! Not just a proposal and some kissin'. Bah bah bah.

I too am a JAG fan and wasn't necessrily disappointed with how they ended it, but I really would have liked to have seen one or two of the past characters show up as sort of a farewell. It would have been cool to see Chegwidden show up.

Now I am focusing on NCIS, which is pretty good in my opinion. It seems to be aimed at a younger audience, compared to JAG, but the writing isn't too bad.

[identity profile] bouncepogo.livejournal.com 2005-05-11 12:38 pm (UTC)(link)
It would have been cool to see Chegwidden show up.

Awww yeah that'd have been GREAT! Too bad they didn't do that.

I haven't gotten into NCIS...I don't even know what night it's on. LOL

[identity profile] cotharyus.livejournal.com 2005-05-11 12:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Yea, I saw the NCIS piolot, but I have no clue what's going on with it now. I don't see or hear a whole lot about it. You say it's pointed at a younger audience - will it still be paletable to an old crumudgeon like myself?

Kinda on topic.

[identity profile] luckychance.livejournal.com 2005-05-11 12:09 am (UTC)(link)
I gotta present for you. Gotta email it to you.

[identity profile] football-swan.livejournal.com 2005-05-11 12:33 am (UTC)(link)
Whose your money on for when I go BOOM?

[identity profile] shes-precious.livejournal.com 2005-05-11 02:22 pm (UTC)(link)
It's gonna be either the lab rat who wants your job or Me...

[identity profile] vikkilynn.livejournal.com 2005-05-11 01:18 am (UTC)(link)
I can't believe tonight is finally the night! I hope it lives up to its build-up.

[identity profile] kobrin.livejournal.com 2005-05-11 01:35 am (UTC)(link)
Hehe. :) I'll have to watch for it when that season finally reaches our fair shores.

Though it seems that the media is playing the "Tick Tick" game with John Bolton and his senate confirmation hearings, at least acccording to Trudeau/Doonesbury. :)

[identity profile] jerel.livejournal.com 2005-05-11 10:50 am (UTC)(link)
I'll have to tape it. It's on too late for me. (It's on at 10, right?) I haven't been watching at all this season, but I want Stabler to explode.

[identity profile] jesshelga.livejournal.com 2005-05-11 02:26 pm (UTC)(link)
That's you with the Tick Tick Game! I saw a promo during Scrubs and laughed because I could practically hear a clock and see red and green wires all over Stabler during those 30 seconds.

So for those of us who've given up on the show, what was the Kablammo moment?

[identity profile] piratejenny.livejournal.com 2005-05-11 03:14 pm (UTC)(link)
I don't think it totally happened. Of course, I wasn't in the room when he had to go bail out his daughter for drunk driving and made the dui go away. He may have exploded then.

I wanted a spectacular BOOM. There are still one or two more episodes.

[identity profile] reannon.livejournal.com 2005-05-11 03:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Sigh.

The NBC Promo Monkeys on Crack strike again.

[identity profile] stevietee.livejournal.com 2005-05-12 12:39 pm (UTC)(link)
I hate NBC's promo dept.!

[identity profile] mamaluna.livejournal.com 2005-05-11 04:38 pm (UTC)(link)
I soooo want to see this. but I have to work tonight. make sure you post all about it tomorrow. spoilers & all.

[identity profile] sujata.livejournal.com 2005-05-12 03:51 am (UTC)(link)
That must've been some BOOM. It's more than 24 hours later, and you haven't recovered sufficiently to write anything else. ;-)

[identity profile] stevietee.livejournal.com 2005-05-12 12:39 pm (UTC)(link)
She's probably still in shock that very little actually happened on the episode!

[identity profile] sujata.livejournal.com 2005-05-12 01:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh. *wince* Bad news indeed, since there was a betting pool. She may be in shock because of how much money she owes a lot of people, because that night wasn't the night after all... :-/

[identity profile] stevietee.livejournal.com 2005-05-12 02:01 pm (UTC)(link)
To be fair to Kelly, NBC severely overhyped the episode and made it SOUND like that episode was going to be the one where he goes BOOM.

[identity profile] sujata.livejournal.com 2005-05-12 02:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, I didn't think she was overreacting. I know my [livejournal.com profile] kellinator -- she wouldn't have boldly announced that night as the night, unless she felt very sure and for very good reasons.

But false advertising isn't usually accepted as an excuse, when winners of betting pools come to the losers to collect their money. :-(

[identity profile] stevietee.livejournal.com 2005-05-12 12:40 pm (UTC)(link)
A few more "ticks" but no "boom."

Yet.
