In the interests of proving I do have a life beyond bitching about work and bitching about politics

This week (or at least the parts of this week that didn't suck) can pretty much be summed up by the food I ate.

Monday night [livejournal.com profile] christine9600 and [livejournal.com profile] thegreyman ordered me over to their place and we stuffed ourselves full of Papa John's. Christine and I made Thomas watch Law and Order and boy did he whine. Poor baby. :P

Tuesday night was Ladies' Night at RuSan's and [livejournal.com profile] la_poubelle, her roommate Emily, and I stuffed ourselves full of sushi. Then we discussed how it sucks that we only found out about Ladies' Night just as [livejournal.com profile] la_poubelle is about to move. :( There was a funny moment where Emily and I were exchanging numbers and talking about now that [livejournal.com profile] la_poubelle is leaving, everyone's asking Emily for her number because [livejournal.com profile] la_poubelle won't be here to play social director.

Wednesday night [livejournal.com profile] blueingenue was in town for One! Night! Only! so she, I, [livejournal.com profile] vernard, [livejournal.com profile] zorathenne, and [livejournal.com profile] thegray met up at Blue Moon Pizza for all the pizza and wings we could handle. It was terrific seeing [livejournal.com profile] blueingenue and we agreed that this exchange had to be posted:

[livejournal.com profile] blueingenue: That reminds me, I still need to get Sex, Lies, and Videotape on DVD.
[livejournal.com profile] kellinator: I've never seen that, how is it?
[livejournal.com profile] blueingenue: Creepy, yet strangely erotic.
[livejournal.com profile] kellinator: Like James Spader?
[livejournal.com profile] blueingenue: Yes, he's in it.
[livejournal.com profile] kellinator: He is?
[livejournal.com profile] blueingenue: Yeah....wait, you didn't know he was in it?
[livejournal.com profile] kellinator: Nope.

Then we laughed like loons and agreed that we needed to blog it. Apparently James Spader is the textbook definition of "creepy, yet strangely erotic."

Thursday night I got to go to [livejournal.com profile] alanator's new house and see him and Geena (his doggie). The house is adorable! It's even got a pond with a fountain. Congratulations, [livejournal.com profile] alanator! [livejournal.com profile] alanator made cheeseburgers and I introduced him to Without a Trace. We had the TV on CSI while we were waiting for Without a Trace to come on and he bitched at me because it was grossing him out. I've just never gotten into that show.

And tonight, margaritas. I have eaten out entirely too much this week. Bad Kelly. But I got to see a bunch of my friends, so not so bad.

Oh poo!!!

While watching CSI last night, I had the thought:

"You know, [livejournal.com profile] kellinator likes L&O, so maybe she would like CSI too. I'll recommend it to her!"

But in all fairness, I didn't like it the first couple of times I watched it either. But, seeing as how I've watched every episode of L&O ever made about five times each, I had to find a new kinda-cop drama to occupy my TV time with. So CSI it is, especially because it's on reruns about as often as L&O.

I totally agree about James Spader. Creepy AND strangely erotic! hehe

If you see friends while eating, the food has no calories, nor impact on your budget.

This is my theory, and I'm sticking to it.

And [livejournal.com profile] michaelnolan and I just love CSI. We watch it every night at 7 CST on Spike and then every other night it's on. Also, CSI, Miami and CSI, New York. We also watch NCIS and With Out A Trace. CSI, Miami is the worst of the CSI shows.

Ms. Amylou and I love CSI, too...and agree that CSI Miami is the worst.

What kind of sushi did you have?

[identity profile] jerseygirl1.livejournal.com 2004-11-19 01:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Sushi ladies night???? Hrm...

Do do remember that I am moving back, right???

i agree, james spader is creepy, yet erotic.

have you ever seen "The Secretary"? if not, you should. the entire movie is well...strangely erotic. and james spader is the leading man. :-)

So where's our hero fall in the "creepy yet strangely erotic" spectrum?

[identity profile] meemeedarling.livejournal.com 2004-11-19 02:08 pm (UTC)(link)
James Spader is Sex on a Stick. He makes my loins quiver!!

What a busy week! I think you should spend Saturday relaxing and having monkey-sex. :D

See, I find James Spader just...James Spadery.

See, I find Jeff Goldblum creepy yet strangely erotic.
