One of the guys?
So I was chatting with
vernard, author of the fascinating Rules to Understanding Guys...
vernard: If it makes you feel better, you have been registering as "guy" on my "guydar" for quite some time
kellinator: seriously?! Do tell.
vernard: Nothing to tell. I just treat you like I treat a guy and it works well.
Which just begs a question I've wondered about for a long time...
[Poll #295696]
There are many things about me that really aren't feminine. I swear like a sailor, worship Garth Ennis, and will pick a Mob movie over a romantic comedy any day. At the same time, there are things about me that are almost exaggerated girly: glitter, glitter, and more glitter. Plus other, more embarrassing things. But let's just focus on the glitter.

Oh this is so easy
In your journal you are mostly all girl. But in real life you are a guy. But you look and dress like a girl. And you aren't stinky like guys so even in real life you aren't all guy.
But there is absolutely no doubt that you are more girly in your journal. For the most part.

OMG, you've defined another gender! Woman, Man, and Kellinator! The mating possibilities boggle.

You are simply an assertive woman. Have you ever heard a man "squee?" You are extremely emotional, trusting your anger and your lovingkindness more than some cold logic. You thrust that chest out and dare the world to judge you, but on the inside you're just trying to be loved and accepted for who you are, self-doubt notwithstanding.
That said, I have very little use for people who are "all male" or "all female" anyway. I'm all for androgeny...let's all be what we are and quit worrying about what stereotype we're supposed to fit.

I also think that typical macho manly-man behaviour includes breaking out the mop and the industrial canister vacuum cleaner and cleaning the house from top to bottom.
I, clearly, grew up with atypical role models.

There is nothing wrong with that.. I just think of you as being Kelly....and that is better than either of the above labels.
