And I'm starting to feel very old school fan -- namely, "And where were you when all they sang about was the moon?" to those people just catching on now.

I mean -- is Quizno's higher than dirigibles?

[identity profile] ardentdelirium.livejournal.com 2004-04-05 10:10 pm (UTC)(link)
no! nor as high as puffins or lightbulbs!

And maybe not as high as the mooooooooooooon.

They're weird, but coupled with Quizno's use of Space Ghost (and possibly other Adult Swim properties, I can't remember for sure), they seem to be part of an earnest and largely well-done campaign to woo geeks. At least they're not being ham-fisted and stupid like the H2 Asteroids ad. Man, do I hate that ad. If you're going to try to sell to me, you'd be surprised how far an attempt to confuse me in a humorous manner will go...

Ooh, that's great.

My only problem with the Spongmonkey ads, is that they sound like The Quizno's people tried to write the words for Joel, or at least said "we want the song to tackle these specific aspects of our restaurant. Get back to us in half an hour."

Other: Not nearly as cool as Viking Kittens

I was only pondering this myself....really!! :-)

We love these subs!

Hi...hope you don't mind me adding you; I found you via Harleen. We have a few things in common, I see, so feel free to add me if you want.

Cool! I love new friends!

You left off:

1. Not just annoying, but so insanely annoying they make me want to break my tv.

and

2. Have caused me to never want to eat at Quizno's again, just on principles.

I loved the whatever-they're-called until a coworker started singing the song over and over and over in a way that was not amusing, cute, funny, etc. :P So my poll answer would be "Hilarious," "Not just stupid, but insanely stupid" and now "Triggering irritation attacks."

You missed an option of "Quizno's? Hamsters? Huh?"

I miss so much by not watching much TV.

[identity profile] rocketmelee.livejournal.com 2004-04-06 09:46 am (UTC)(link)
Verily, I went out and bought a sub. On my diet? No. Tasty? Indubitably. Spongemonkeys? Hell yes.

[identity profile] stevietee.livejournal.com 2004-04-06 02:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Almost everything I watch on TV is taped, so I fast forward through the commercials. I have yet to see these weirdo things!
