Eee!! Eee!! Eeeeee!!

That's the sound I make upon discovering that my Season 4 Homicide DVDs have arrived...

...and realizing that I can't settle in and gorge myself on them like I did on the Saturdays that previous sets arrived because I have to go to work.

Oh well. At least it'll spare [livejournal.com profile] scarcrest from me calling him up to deliver a vodka-fueled, semi-coherent oration on Beau, Kay, and the nature of love.

Homicide series one is in my netflix...but it's coming after I wash the Buffy Series out of my hair. :-)

Yay for DVD's, Boo for work...

I'm reminded of how I was once really bad about calling in sick to working the evening shift when a book I ordered had come in the afternoon post.

Dude, post it. Not the sloppy vodka-ish parts...

Partners

Excellent. Actually all of the partner bonds were special in their own way...it's a real strength of the series. You don't get the same feeling about NYPD Blue except maybe in the very first years of the series, and then only with Sipowicz and Kelly or Sipowicz and Simone.Everyone else in the squad is such a hump it's a wonder any cases get put down there...nah, the women are ok, mostly. But the fact that I can write "the women" tells you what their problem is. And God help me if I trusted my case to Medavoy and Martinez(or whichever retired kiddie star is walking the beat this week.)

What didn't you like about Buffy, wt,
I'm totally biased having written several Homicide/ Buffy crossovers, but I most definitely want the fandoms to cross-pollinate.

Oh shit, the crossover fic? I really did like it! I just got busy and forgot to have a good read... *hangs head in shame* I'm a bad beta.

I've seen a little of Buffy and I'd really like to catch up on the whole thing. Actually, I think enough of my friends have the DVDs that it shouldn't be a problem... Once about a year and a half ago I had Buffy on while I was eating because I wanted to idly watch something and nothing else was on. By the time they gave Buffy the umbrella at the prom at the end of the episode, I was bawling my eyes out.

Everybody does that. It's like the "One Man Honor Guard" of Buffy fandom. Sniff.
