"Eureka!!" she hollers, while running around in a circle screaming.

I have figured out the equation!!

Personal life calm = increased job stress + inability to not take the job personally.

Personal life shot all to hell and back = job seems much improved in comparison.

I'm sure there's a lesson in all of this, but trying to figure out what it is will only give me a headache.

There must be balance in the Universe?

I'm ready for it to be unbalanced in my favor for a while!

Actually, now that this has happened, I'm feeling like a lot of dreams and goals of mine are totally more obtainable. :)

And I'm SO happy for you! Squueee! You have to let us know when it airs so we can watch.

In other words, dP -> 0 => dJs>0 and dJp>0, while correspondingly, P<0 => J>0.

You need to do three things.
  1. develop a formula relating Js and Jp to J (in other words, decide how much weight job stress and taking the job personally lend to work sucking)

  2. Find yourself a math student taking differential equations, and have him solve the system of equations (the two given above, and the one developed in step 1).

  3. Fuck him senseless.

  4. Number 3 is optional. But it might be fun.

Number 3 is the best idea I've heard in quite some time.

I'm having to be so amused at the appearance of "hollers" in a sentence that I can't offer useful opinions. ;)
