"Peter Jackson is a [bleep]ing hack!!"

Yesterday during a break in the Mutants and Masterminds game, our GM Scott saw fit to show us all the Two Towers: Extended Edition Easter egg.

For those of you who haven't already seen it, it's Gollum's MTV Movie Awards acceptance speech. And it may make you wonder how much crack he was smoking on the set. In other words, I laughed till I cried.

Naturally, this led to a discussion of whether Yoda would ever call George Lucas a fucking hack.

Hee hee...my second favorite part of the EE...

I still prefer the EE on FOTR, which is Jack Black's MTV movie awards "prince albert" thingie.

I didn't recall exactly offhand so I got this off the internet. It jives with what I remember about how to get to it.

Go to "Select a Scene" and go to the very last scene on the selection which should be #27 "The Council of Elrond". Press Down Once and you should see a little ring next to "New Scene". Select it and Peter Jackson should come on telling you that you've stumbled across a surprise. Which is the MTV parody done at the last MTV Movie Awards with Jack Black and Sarah Michelle Gellar.

Did they bleep it out on the DVD also?

Yep. It's even funnier if you watch it with the text on. :)

...whether Yoda would ever call George Lucas a fucking hack.

"If nine hundred years old I am, why a proper sentence can I not form?"

Why not? Carrie Fisher did ... at a roast ... in politer terms. (Something about stupid dialog.)

Where oh where did you get the scoop on these eggs?

All I know is -- I hated the Two Towers theatrical release, and the EE actually fixed most of the problems I had with it -- just a bad edit, in my mind.

I look forward to seeing this Easter Egg! :)
