Yes, I have Lord of the Rings on the brain. Deal with it.

[Poll #240668]

EDIT: If you put "other," put it in the comments. I'm going crazy trying to figure out what got left out.

EDIT X2: [livejournal.com profile] d2leddy, I don't have a beard.

I don't know what I'd be, but my wife's dad would be a hobbit. Just sayin'.

I am so, so a hobbit. Me, and the 2nd breakfast...

EDIT X2: [profile] d2leddy, I don't have a beard.

So you say.

You do, however, have an earthy, crusty, no-bullshit, no-frills, nuts & bolts, definitive, get-to-the-point, just-cut-to-the-chase-will-ya?, beer-drinking, hammer-wielding, dwarven attitude though. As evidence, I submit your LJ as exhibit A.

Ditto. What he said.

You just turned an insult into a lovely compliment. Thank you! :D

[identity profile] deza.livejournal.com 2004-01-29 10:52 am (UTC)(link)
You left off the "pervy [whatever] fancier" option...

[identity profile] 10dimensions.livejournal.com 2004-01-29 11:06 am (UTC)(link)
I just finished my pipeweed and I'm ready for 2nd breakfast. ;)

I'm thinking there's a lot of wishful thinking going on in this poll...it asked what you would be, as in, your current self is transformed into the closest equivalent. While we all might long for elven grace, I'm willing to bet that all you elf-picking-people aren't tall, slender, blonde, perennially clean and elegant without effort in this world.

Just sayin'. ;)

My second choice is an Ent, but Kel left that one off! I'm pretty gnarly.

Also in the leaving-out: Trolls, wargs, balrogs, Nazgul, barrow wights, Tom Bombadil...

Yeah, I had [livejournal.com profile] 10dimensions on the phone yelling at me "I wanna be a Ringwraith!!"

Yeah, I'm becoming increasingly embarrassed as I realize all the options I left out...

[identity profile] gmslegion.livejournal.com 2004-01-29 11:36 am (UTC)(link)
You left out "suicidally despondent that someone put him in some damn wizard world." :-P

Other

Oh, I'll never tell

Tease! :P

See, I was torn. You could easily be a hobbit, but there are days I see orc. (Hell, there are days I wish I was an orc. Stupid commuters.)

Or a wizard. They're not really human. And I can only imagine the glee with which you'd cast nasty spells on those law students...

I'm married to a hobbit, btw.

Me as an orc = scary. But funny!

See!

Still love the Faramir icon.

I suppose I could have answered human, but we're actually both Middle Earth Hussies. That's right. It's more a lifestyle than profession. Like groupies, really, but less whiny and without the obligatory tell all biographies. We simply spend our nights hangin' around The Prancing Pony, drinking ale and shaggin' men, hobbits and elves for the pure fun of it. Notice that I left out dwarves. You've got to have a code of some sort. Although, they're more like guidelines, anyway. ;)

ding ding ding we have a winnah!!

[identity profile] tenn-crichton.livejournal.com 2004-01-29 03:04 pm (UTC)(link)
You are a hobbit, silly. Drinkin' brew from the local pub and somkin' some "pipe" weed is how you want to spend your days. Besides, there's a bloodthirsty, kill em' all and let god sort them out in every hobbit.

Granted, I haven't taken the survey yet...

Yeah, for a long time I was just bummed that I wasn't a pretty graceful elf, but once I decided to embrace my inner hobbit it's all been good. Anyway, did you ever see an elf that looked like they were having fun?

[identity profile] daoistraver.livejournal.com 2004-01-29 06:42 pm (UTC)(link)
wizard or possibly ent.

[identity profile] becala.livejournal.com 2004-01-30 12:48 am (UTC)(link)
I said "dwarf" for you for the same entirely complimentary reasons listed above.

You also left out the dunedain, which I think qualify as separate from the humans.
