Thanksgiving poll

Not that anyone's here to answer it, but I'll put it up anyway.

[Poll #210827]

And what am I thankful for?

I'm thankful for my family of choice, my many friends. (Please forgive me for not listing all your names because I'm at work and I'm in a hurry and inevitably I would leave someone out and feel awful.) I'm thankful for new friendships forged and old ones renewed. This time last year [livejournal.com profile] scarcrest and I weren't speaking except to snipe at each other in our journals; this year we're... well, sniping at each other in our journals. ;) I'm thankful to have a job, and to have the freedom to decide how to spend my own time and money. I'm also thankful for the freedoms that come with being a U.S. citizen, whatever my current political concerns. I'm thankful to be in much better health, physically, mentally, and emotionally, than I was during my time in grad school. I'm thankful that I finally made my peace with Atlanta instead of running around all the time screaming I HATE IT HERE. I'm thankful I've learned from some of my mistakes and don't do nearly as much stupid stuff as I used to. I'm thankful that Homicide finally came out on DVD. Shallow, yes, but sometimes the shallow things make you almost as happy as the deep things. I'm thankful for LiveJournal, as an outlet for stress and a social network, and I'm thankful for all of you reading this.

Yay!

I had, um, kinda a long list there.

Sometimes it's the little stuff that gets you through.(I am also most thankful for that, as I might have missed it completely otherwise, being that it's syndication's stepchild.)
