Wooooooo!!!!

[livejournal.com profile] alanator and I are drinking Captain Morgan's Parrot Bay. Wooooohoooooo!!!

(I like Parrot Bay because it actually tastes pretty good so I can make my drinks strong. Plus, then I can run around screaming "But why is the rum gone?!")

Anyway, I have a confession to make: I'm not really that wild about Special Victims Unit. Too much rape. I just watch it so I can make kissy-faces at Munch.

And [livejournal.com profile] alanator's making me a pizza because I'm special!! Or something like that.

I don't know which has greater irony-

Ice T portraying a cop
or
Henry Rollins portraying a cop (The Chase)

You so very amuse me.

About L&O:SVU--I don't watch it a whole lot. The sex crimes are a lot harder to stomach, and, my apologies to Dick Wolf, Man Genius, but it just isn't as good as the original. And I love Munch, but as you mentioned in another post, they just don't know quite what to do with him. That's a crying shame.

Plus, if I may make a confession, Jack McCoy really does it for me, in that older man father figure kinda way. There are no other EADAs who can touch him. (And I miss Claire Kincaid, too.)

I can watch L&O back-to-back for hours at a time, but I can only ever stomach one episode of SVU at a time. The crimes are just meant to provoke, and rarely are the defendants interesting as human beings; at best, there are interesting as monsters, nemeses, and the detectives and DA's treatment of them reflects that.

I wonder if Claire Kincaid was the most popular ADA. =) She was my favorite too.

I'm not a big fan of the ADA's. They all talk funky, and they drive me nuts. How about a HOT guy ADA? that would be okay with me!

Yeah, I'm all about some Law And Order, but SVU is just sorta weak, I'm afraid. I hate to say it, but it doesn't stir emotion like the others.

You should always get the really big bottle of Parrot Bay. That's all I'm saying...

And I'm really more into the original L&O, personally...

Awwww hell yeah!! I made the big-bottle plunge for the first time last night when I did the math and realized how much cheaper the 1.75 liter bottle was. Plus, I've still got most of it in my trunk!

We used almost 3/4 of one in one day while on a ski trip last year. I shall be investing in more quite soon. But yes, definitely cheaper for us coconut rum addicts.

I can get myself in so much trouble with coconut rum. I drank a one-liter bottle in one night last month... No, I don't know what I was thinking. Wait! I wasn't thinking! But I didn't have a hangover, so it's all good.
