More inane Homicide ramblings

After neglecting it for a while, I'm thinking about getting back into my Homicide fanfic, maybe even starting a new list for it since most of the old ones have died off, but since I second-guess myself, I'm wondering if it's the best use of my time.

fanfic

I should clarify by saying that I really do appreciate good fanfic, but for writers I know, I always recommend going for original work instead. If you've got X amount of time/energy, put it into something you can sell. I've said this to Scarcrest, but he ignores me on general principles. :)

That said, I'll always read it. Even though I've seen about four episodes of "Homicide" in my life. Darn that Scarcrest.

It seems to me you've got the fanfic down. You should continue with fanfic if that's what you love. But if you want to write a novel, move on and perfect that novel.

i agree with those two, but i also think you should at least be writing something, and if fanfic is something you enjoy, then do it, at least here and there. don't beat yourself up if you DON'T get around to it, though.

i'd read it, and i know nothing about Homicide.

I think you should write but I wouldn't read it b/c I have no frame of reference to appreciate what you write.
