Delight

Every once in a while, I see something that truly delights me, makes me glad to be alive. I love that. I've been meaning to share a recent case of that.

I was driving home from work recently and I was on Clairmont Rd. near campus when all of a sudden traffic came to a standstill. I hit the breaks and looked to see... what was wrong?

And there, in the middle of the road, stood four Canadian geese, taking their own sweet time.

I don't know why, but that absolutely delighted me.

I almost hit a farmed turkey one time that managed to squeeze out of its habitat. Unfortunately, too many people were trying to avoid it and people were directing traffic around it.

To think, that could have been dinner....
