More Harry Potter speculation

"There's no Hogwarts without you, Hagrid."

I take it all back. Dumbledore can kick, Snape can kick, hell, Harry can kick. But Hagrid's going to survive the whole fucking series.

How do I know? Because Hagrid's the emotional heart of the series. Every time he gives Harry that photo album, I burst into tears.

(But I still want Snape in a sleazy hotel room.)

She better not kill Hagrid! Why they always gotta pick on the fat guy ...

Beats the fuck outta me. He's the emotional heart of the series, isn't he? Tonight was my first time seeing Chamber ot Secrets, and when he showed up in Diagon Ally, I nearly started crying in relief. Yes, I'm a big mushball. ;)

Heeheehee. *pats the mushball* Cute.

And yeah, I'd never thought about that, but he really is.

I think it didn't really hit me until tonight when I was watching the movie and realized the emotional climax wasn't the final battle, but the entire school (with the exception of that rat bastard Draco) cheering for Hagrid. hell, I even think Snape was (this may be wishful thinking for a lifelong Alan Rickman lover).

PS I'm guessing, for no reason I can put my finger on, that it'll be Dumbledore. Unless that was just a little too close for comfort because of the actor dying ...

I think by this point most people are convinced that Dumbledore's out at some point... even before book 7. Actually, as bad as this may sound, I think people are more likely to think of that because of Richard Harris' death. (I nearly started crying the first time he was on screen tonight.)

I always thought it would be Hagrid nobly sacrificing himself for Harry.... now I'm not so sure. I'll lay even odds on Snape (he'll have to be fully redeemed either way), and I'm hoping to see all the Malfoys wiped out. :)

The Malfoys and Dobby should all die in a horrible accident.

...which also takes out the Dursleys. :)

I'm deathly afraid she's going to kill Snape. But then, would she have cried if she was killing off Snape? Hmmm...

heh heh. I'll take him and Lucious Malfoy, thank you. ;)

My top bets are Dumbledore or Hagrid, with Mcgonagall as a long shot.

Do you want to be a little spoiled? There's a guy in booktards, who's let the cat partially out of the bag. He's a bookseller and has already read a copy from his store. He doesn't say who dies, but he says the name of someone who doesn't die.
