I'm not that innocent

Yet another product of a late-night conversation with [livejournal.com profile] atomicnumber51... God bless nationwide long-distance...

Natalia and I have decided that I look eminently sweet and innocent. The problem with this being, people tend to assume I'm boring as fuck and/or go into shock when I open my sweet lil' mouth and something that sounds like dialogue from a Kevin Smith movie comes out. (Actually, Kevin Smith is probably more eloquent or at least creative than I am. My current most-used expressions are "Fuck!!", "Fuck fuck fuck!!", and "Shit fuck!!") Therefore, we need to change my image. Unfortunately all we've been able to come up with so far is that we could capitalize on my paleness by going Goth. Natalia thinks lots and lots of eyeliner would do the trick.

Name that Quote.

I always imagine that Americans are going to be boring as SHIT...but you're not...you're lovely...

I've got the same problem. I've always cussed a lot and made shocking statements to entertain myself. I look sweet as pie and really am a goody two shoes but I can cuss a blue streak and it always amuses me to no end. I say just go with it.

Okay, I don't know that quote, but I like it!!

The element of surprise is always an advantage. You can work the whole sweet & innocent thing, then shock the hell out of people if they try to take advantage of you.

Besides, the contrast just makes you that much more interesting.

Well, you know me, I think lots and lots of eyeliner is always a good thing.

Then again, I haven't been mistaken for sweet and innocent since I was about 12. (Which only highlights the irony in our conversation last night.)

I actually thought about asking you if you'd pick up one of the Wednesday Addams dresses for me!!

Of course, when I wear the Goth skirt we got at Hot Topic I get compliments from some of the most conservative dressers in the library.

Mmmm.
I do not think you would make a good Goth; you are not appropriately cruel AND cynical, which is a requirement.
You definitely don't have the arrogance. ;) Consider this a boon rather than a bane.
Anyhow.
I think you are fine the way you are and should not change.

Hahaha .. I have the same problem. Just about half an hour I shocked the boys at my office with my rendition of Chef's Salty Balls from Southpark :P

Personally, I like being able to surprise people. It's amusing to watch their jaws gape.
You could always try things like cleavage shirts or shirts that say, "It's because I'm Evil!" (saw that shirt tonight...)
