Moving us closer and closer to Monopoly money

http://money.cnn.com/2003/03/05/news/money/index.htm

Look at that shit!! I know that's just an example of what it might look like, but that's ridiculous!! How about a nice fuschia? I want my money to look like money, dammit!!

EDIT: Yes, I realize that graphic is just a CNN thing, but still!!

The purple is pretty though

*laugh* what the heck? It DOES look like monopoly money. How come the other countries get pretty multi-colored money with neato designs and we get...this?

I'm pretty sure that's CNN's graphic, not the example... those solid colors would be just as easy to counterfeit as what we have now.

Not to split hairs, or anything...but the picture in that article isn't what it'll actually look like, since it hasn't been unveiled. Also, the ink will still be green, but they'll be adding "a predominent but subtle color in the background" Which I'm assuming really means the paper.

Honestly, the US insistence on all-green money is a little silly. Especially since different colors for different denominations is a huge help to the visually impared.

Also, other countries have cooler-looking money than we do. Damnit.

I think it would be pretty cool. the french have the coolest money. their 50 frac note has the petite prince on it. i love it!

Still what?

People who claim that our money looks like, or is going to look like, Monopoly money have obviously never played Monopoly.

I think that the United States is the only country that has all green money. I know for a fact that Canada and the U.K. have long used multi-colored bills. It doesn't bother me, really.

hehe, i always take that strip out of my money and keep it. if you look real close, depending on the bill, it says it's value. "twenty twenty twenty tewnty..." quite amusing on long car trips. try it sometime and see if you can pull it out in one piece.

if you're into that whole defacing goverment property thing...
