Guilt-free drama!!

Do you ever feel guilty for being amused when you see LJ Drama going on, even though it's amusing, because it usually means that someone is getting hurt or getting screwed or both?

Well, no guilt with this one! Go to [livejournal.com profile] news to see a bunch of brats whining that they're "entitled" to post every five minutes and they're being discriminated against even though they don't pay for or otherwise support LJ.

Some truly excellent smackdowns there!! And everyone that gets one deserves it!!

(Guess I'm an old fart. *wanders off muttering "you kids get off my lawn*)

The line between privelege and entitlement is increasingly blurred in modern society. Yet another bug that myst be fixed (http://www.well.com/user/sbb/)....

Psst. news is a special user, rather than a special community...

it is also quite wonderful to read about users like aeire who gave away paid accounts to strangers.

I agree. That was really beautiful.

Link didn't work for me

I get an error mssg about maintenance. I hope that doesn't mean that the community is about to be shut down because . . . well, I would have enjoyed checking out someone else's drama for once. :)

Try it now... News is where they let us know about stuff, so I don't think it'll be going anywhere.

You know, I stopped paying for LiveJournal because I disagree with the way the administrators treat their users. (I'll start paying again when they start acting like professionals.)

But at least I know enough not to whine in the news community that posting in my LiveJournal is my God-given right. People are stupid.

I found myself fascinated as well. Stuff goes down and if you aren't even paying for it to be up then who are you to bitch? Its sort of like people who bitch about local politics and don't bother to vote. I guess I can't really talk though. I just became a paid member which to be honest had more to do with working in IT and just plain feeling guilty not contributing to the obvious efforts of keeping this project afloat.
