And I've thought this for years.

My opinion on the two major American political parties, summed up in one sentence:

The Republicans are mean and the Democrats are dumb.

Agreed, although I think naive and lazy fit Democrats too..

And there aren't enough Libertarians. Libertarians need to breed more. :P

Pretty damn good... I suscribe to the theory that they are simply two different Frat houses on a college campus. Each claim to be different and better, but they are basically the same.

Odd that I'd ever find myself quoting the man, but I met him last week, and this stuck with me:
"In American politics, there are two parties. The dumb party and the evil party." -Tucker Carlson

Even a broken clock is right twice a day, you know.

Wait, is that the Republican on Crossfire? I don't care if he is Republican, I waaaaaaaant him. I'm going to tie him up and make him be my bipartisan love slave.

Go Kellinate him, lol

I'm rather partial to Sean Hannity myself... yummmm... :)

I'm not sure what he looks like, but I heard him on the radio, and I'll have to pass because he's a moron. The Crossfire guy managed to not sound like an asshole to me even though he's my political opposite.

But hey, that means more Hannity for you... ;)

*chuckles* Yeah, I know what you mean about Hannity. I used to call him up and give him shit on the radio when he had a show in Atlanta. Now, if I could get Neal Boortz's brain in Sean Hannity's body... :)

I'm such a political slut *grin*

Oh, this is good. I need to snag this. Attributing you of course.
Ouch. Ouch.
I'm chuckling which is making me cough. ow.
*chuckle*

You think so? I've seen a heck of a lot of mean-spiritedness coming from the Democrats lately. And the number of Democratic supporters who, after the Paul Wellstone tragedy, said that they thought a Republican ought to have died has made me want to vomit.

Re:

Yo, it's an overgeneralization. And last time I checked it wasn't flattering to either party.

That's embarrassing about the Democrats but if you think Repubs don't say the same things you're living in a dream world.

[identity profile] gladstone.livejournal.com 2002-11-07 02:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Easy, there! I agree with you wholeheartedly. The vitriol that was spewed by both major parties this year made me queasy. It always does.

Ehh... We don't really vote for anyone, we vote against the person we hate the most. It's the American way. ;)

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA

you are soooooo right.

perfect example:

Republican to me on why a woman whose health is endagered by pregnancy should carry to term:
"Its like how men are willing to give their lives for their country in combat. Its just noble."

This stupid clasmate who is far too hummanistic for her own good: "So what if someone can't write above the level of a 12 year old! Maybe they have a brilliant legal mind, why deprive the legal profession of that!"
