I listen to techno almost everyday. I have over 4000 Techno songs and I hate Eminem! I have not heard the song in question... :-) I have been a Moby fan since 1991. All the mindless sheep that listen to the radio did not know who Moby was back then.

It was funny in a way (because I think Moby's become a caricature) but Eminem's way wrong. In fact, worldwide more people listen to techno than listen to him. And good techno kicks his ass anyday.

  • Techno - disco redux; it's still boring crap inferior to the mod tracks going around in the early 90's (raise you hand if you had an Amiga)
  • Electronica - nothing but a marketing label for safe, homogenized and repackaged industrial; kinda like what "New Wave" was to punk*
  • EMO - they all need their asses kicked, fans and artists alike; fuckin' whiney twerps
  • Hip Hop - I haven't heard anything original since Run DMC or Public Enemy; you guys wanna try something just a little bit less derivative?

As offensive and wrong as Eminem sometimes is, he keeps me entertained; and that is what really concerns me.
He makes me giggle, and I think he is cute.
(I would totally do it with him, I bet he would smack my ass a bit too.

Two weeks ago, my friend Brian aka [livejournal.com profile] coldricepudding and I drove around listening to Eminem and car dancing, and it was the most fun I have had in ages!
I will teach you our Without Me/Super Mario Bros. dance next time I see you. (the song has a wicked good Nintendo dance beat to it)
