Incidentally, that's not even the word that got me in trouble. It was "shit" and "screw," not necessarily in that order.

You're shitting me?!? When I was an undergrad in the dept, all the cool teachers cursed. Not like sailors, maybe, but they had no objections to the words. Was it a student who was offended, or a colleague?

Actually... it was at my part-time job at the library (and in the back office, not the circulation desk).

As far as teaching goes, today Prof. Gruber called on me to share my knowledge of medieval drama with the undergrads and I got to tell the "ram shit" story... I love that one. I'll post it soon.
