*yawn*

A lot of people have been posting about dreams lately.

A lot of people think dreams are messages from their subconscious, something with deeper meaning. Me, I think they're just the shit our brains come up with when we're asleep and they're bored. Things thrown almost at random, like a Jackson Pollock painting, and if we're creative enough we might find some meaning in them. That's why I rarely if ever comment on dream posts, and rarely if ever post my own dreams.

But this one was too good not to post...

I was a rookie detective in the Baltimore Homicide division, and I had three open cases that were fairly important, and Gee was getting ready to tear my head off, so I went to Kay Howard and begged her to teach me how to be a good detective.

That's all I remember. But at least it's fairly obvious to interpret:

1). I feel insecure and in need of a mentor;

2). I want to live in a TV show.

Somehow I think option 2 is much more likely.

And you want to learn from the best, huh? Kay rules.(I wish they would have showed her helping a woman rookie on the show...that'dve been cool.)

Oh my god that reminds me that I had weird dreams last night, too!

Me and a bunch of friends were hanging out IN A TREE. This guy I have a crush on started singing a song, and then we all joined in. It felt SO HAPPY.

I AM ON CRACK! :D

Even if our brains are just attempting to apply order to random firings in the dark, it would seem that those firings are indicative of what we think about, or would, during the day. And, given some free-form time to wander through the stuff we never dealt with (suppressed, maybe?) during the light-time, we do reveal lots about ourselves.

Like you have revealed your intense desire to be covered in grape jelly by four midget clowns. Isn't it amazing what dreams tell us?

Hey, invite me over to the dream when it gets to the bit where you and Kay have the catfight over Munch. Hmmmm, catfight. ;)

A lot of people have been posting about dreams lately.

I've noticed that too...

I've been having tons of messed-up, freaky dreams too, but I hesitate to write them down. That's like the forbidden door to my hidden Psyche.
