...I have a favourite spoon. And if I don't find it immediately, not only do I get really irritated, NO, I will spend half an hour looking for it by which time my tub of ice cream will have melted and is not enjoyable ANYWAY. (this happened only once.)
But yeah, your stapler love seems quite normal compared to that. Hope that is of some consolation.
