you left out religion.

Oh fuck!! That would have been perfect...

Fortunately, they're never gone for long. Self-respect is regenerative; I have a spare car key; my work ethic is a boomerang -- no matter how hard I throw it away, it always comes back to smack me on the ass; and my motivation can be supplanted by caffeine.

sucks that you can't edit polls. ;)

I've never lost your mind or phone or such. Having not had the good fortune to meet you, it would be difficult.

Unless, of course, by "my" you meant the poll-taker instead of the writer...

did not include mind or heart, as these things have the appearance of being lost, from my perspective, as a default state. how would i know if i lost something i never had a firm grip on to begin with? *coughcough* reality...

what about underwear? or... or.... losing your SHIT??? and socks. i lose socks all the damn time. and sometimes shoes. and i've known some guys to lose their balls....

Lose their balls? I'd like to hear the story on that...

[identity profile] kellinator.livejournal.com 2003-09-23 01:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmmm. Good point. And I've never really had that firm a grasp on anything, including my car keys...

No you wouldn't

I actually know one of those stories. No one really likes to hear it though. Come to think of it, I know two of those stories -- one in which a young man nearly loses his balls, and another in which a young man gets cancer, loses his balls, and has them replaced with prosthetics, which his doctor kindly tells him are *blue*. Permanently. He encounters, of course, all sorts of complications, including PMS type feelings just before his monthly hormone shots . . .

The other story's too gory. And anyway, I mostly wanted to note that "The art of losing isn't hard to master." :)
