Everybody's elitist about something (or are they?)

A morning of noting my lack of patience with the terminally stupid has me asking myself some uncomfortable questions.

I wish there was a "Not Sure" answer under "Am I an elitist?" because I don't know you well enough to say.

I am also elitist because I think wrestling and reality shows are awful, and as a result I'm watching less television.

As an intellectual, you are in cultural exile in the United States. Europe is more cool about their smart people--they view them as national treasures. But that's elitist. But here, it's about the rise of the average. Doesn't that make you glad? It makes me glad.

Elitism has an ugly side too, as we know. It's a case of where and when. IMO.

Actually, I think I'm pretty tolerant, but that could just be elitism masking itself. :D Basically, I get along with most everyone and have friends and acquaintances of all stripes. Even the willfully ignorant have been known to get on my good side. But I do get on my soapbox about some things, and politics is one of them. A close runner up would probably be...reading. :D

I suppose that I'm elitist just from the idea that I don't make friends with people that don't think. This is less about brains and more about the desire to use them.

on second thought...

I'm pretty sure no one here can be an elitist, cause I'm almost certain none of them are elite.
