yeah- i agree with how third parties are killing us. i am a big time dem, but i understand why so many people are running to the libertarians- because lawmakers are just not effective. instead of holding our leaders accountable, we've taken the suckers way out, and just voted for less government altogether. sadly, i know too many people, unhappy with their elected officials, who are fine with waiting 2 years to vote against him/her. WRITE A LETTER! SEND A FAX! tell your representative that you disagree! tell him or her what he/she should be focusing on. assert yourself as a tax paying constituent.
i have written more letters to nathan deal than i know what to do with. he always sends me one back telling me how much he appreciates my opinion, but that he has no interest in doing what i want. *shrug* at least he KNOWS he doesn't have my support. "public opinion" doesn't matter when they have no clue what the opinion of the public IS.
